TIERSEN Yann + QUINQUIS - Concerts

Since his debut in 1995 Breton artist Yann Tiersen has been developing constantly. Capable of delving into the details of intimacy in a minimalist approach or plunging into the deep waters of orchestral music, he’s always renewing himself, changing according to the context. With his album Kerber, he has opened a new chapter by turning to electronics. For him, the aim isn’t to set the dancefloor on fire but rather to texture the music, to turn it into a tangible and evolving landscape in which one can walk and wander. At the origin of these compositions, the piano is ultimately only a material to shape a new, vaster and more complex work, and only exists thanks to the electronic environment that Tiersen has built around it. On stage, an original set-up promises to turn L’Alhambra into a new sound space to immerse yourself in. To open the show, Emilie Tiersen, aka Quinquis, will introduce us to the lunar and introspective universe of her new album in which she sings in Breton.
