KAGAME Kayije - Intérieur vie / Intérieur nuit - Festivals

Kayije Kagame is undefinable. One never knows on which side of the stage or the screen, or where she will appear, and she seems to thrive in this undefined space. A first play in two parts, Sans Grace/Avec Grace, showcased her study of absence, a topic she has continued to address. Her stage and film diptych, Intérieur Vie, Intérieur Nuit, reveals the imperceptible presences that accompany us, the way our loved ones haunt us, and the invisible people whose existence we do not see. Gaël Kamilindi of the Comédie Française and artist Victor Hugo de la Torre bring Intérieur Vie to life. Alone on stage, Kagame evokes its colours in light, intimate and sometimes funny touches… Everything can be collected as precious clues with Intérieur Nuit, screened in the adjoining room, then completing the composition of this fragmented gallery. At the end of this journey, everyone will have met his or her character – painter, dancer, museum guard or actor – and all will have seen angels pass by. Intérieur vie, the play : 50' (at the Grütli - Centre de production et de diffusion des Arts vivants) Intérieur nuit, the film : 20' (at the Cinémas du Grütli)
