For this 2022 edition, the musicians of the Ensemble Masques will perform on Monday 8 August at 7pm in the Protestant church of Champéry.MUSICIANS:Ensemble Masques with Maïlys de Villoutreys, soprano, Benjamin Appl, baritone and Olivier Fortin, harpsichord and conductor.PRESENTATION:"Very surprising cantatas..."This concert will illustrate Johann Sebastian Bach's repertoire dedicated to cantatas: sacred cantatas that he composed for each Sunday of the liturgy, but also secular cantatas that portray - like miniature operettas - picturesque characters, their concerns and interests. We discover a bon vivant Bach, full of humour! The Orchestral Suite No. 3 completes the programme, giving us the opportunity to hear the very famous and magnificent 'Air on the G string'.
