Policy blindspots, discrimination and systemic barriers in the lives of neurodivergent people - with Hans Bruintjes - Conferencias - Online - Virtual

Descripción

Hans Bruintjes has worked as a policy officer in both national and municipalpolitics, where his work included combating discrimination. These experiences, along with his own experiences with discrimination as an autistic person, inspired him to research discrimination againstneurodivergent people and write his book.   Discrimination against neurodivergent people, drawing on research with 631neurodivergent participants in the Netherlands, forms the evidence base forHans’ book “the voice of the neurodivergent”. In this Neurodiversity Celebration Week event, Hans will share key findings from the study, explore how systemic bias shows up in everyday life, and discuss what true inclusion for neurodivergent people can look like.   Link for the book puchase
