Descripción

Alpaca Soap-Making Workshop Craft, animal encounter and a little piece of alpaca to take home Enjoy a special afternoon on an alpaca farm: you will meet the alpacas, learn more about their valuable wool and make your own nourishing alpaca soaps. Ideal as a gift – or simply as a creative little break for yourself. In this workshop, we bring together what Alpaka-Erlebnisse stands for: a respectful encounter with the animals, knowledge about alpacas and a nature-based experience where you get to work with your own hands. With calm step-by-step guidance, you will make your own soap and take home around 0.5 kg of handmade soap with alpaca wool. Why alpaca wool in soap? You will learn why alpaca wool is so valuable – not only as a soft natural fibre, but also because of its natural keratin. Keratin is a structural protein that is also found in hair and nails. In cosmetics, it is valued for its potential to support care, help bind moisture and promote a smooth skin feel. This turns alpaca wool into more than just a special natural material – it becomes a valuable ingredient in your handmade soap. An afternoon for observing, feeling and making While your soap is being made and left to harden, there will be time for stories about the alpacas, their wool and why these animals are much more than just “fluffy”. This workshop is not about fast consumption, but about conscious experience: feeling the material, observing the animals, making something yourself – and taking something real home with you. What to expect Duration: approx. 3-hour creative workshop on the alpaca farm Locations: Landiswil BE, Hägendorf SO and Oetwil am See ZH To take home: around 0.5 kg of finished alpaca soap, approx. 4–5 pieces Included in the course: • Time on the pasture and an encounter with the alpacas • Introduction to the world of alpacas and their valuable wool • Making your own soap with alpaca wool • Step-by-step guidance, no previous experience needed • All materials included in the price • Around 0.5 kg of finished soap to take home Your workshop leader The afternoon will be led by Derya Sahin, founder of LIS Events. Behind LIS Events is a great deal of organisational talent and a deep love for creative projects. For Derya and her team, creativity is more than crafting: it connects people, brings new ideas to life and simply feels good – especially when you work with your hands and step out of everyday life for a moment. With calm guidance, beautiful materials and a lot of joy in making things by hand, Derya – the creative professional behind loveissweet.ch – will guide you step by step towards your own alpaca soap. Your host farm Schlösslihof, Oetwil am See ZH At the foot of the Pfannenstiel, only around 30 minutes from Zurich, Sabrina and Mario welcome you to the organically run Schlösslihof. Their large herd of alpacas and llamas lives in the middle of a varied landscape of meadows, forest and fields. The farm is a small oasis of calm. Alongside the alpacas, Highland cattle and horses also graze here, while playful goats curiously compete for attention. Good to know • The workshop lasts approx. 3 hours. • All materials are included in the price. • You will take home around 0.5 kg of handmade alpaca soap. • Children from the age of 10 may take part, but only when accompanied by an adult. • We work with lye, so the workshop is not suitable for younger children. • Unfortunately, babies cannot be brought along. • Dogs must also stay at home. • Please wear clothes that can get a little messy.
