ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE IN TAX MATTERS – THE APPROACH OF DIFFERENT JURISDICTIONS AND THE IMPACT ON TRUSTEES AND OTHER SERVICE - Expos et musées

This technical event will comprise a panel discussion by experts from Switzerland, the BVI, [and] Guernsey [and Jersey] followed by time for questions.  You will be invited for drinks and canapés following the panel discussion during which time you will have an opportunity to discuss further directly with the panel participants.  In times of cross border information exchange, such requests for administrative assistance are increasingly relevant to the trust industry where trustees are regularly confronted with requests to provide information about structures they manage to foreign tax authorities.  The panel will consider the procedural requirements for requests for administrative assistance and will examine recent cases and practice which demonstrate how the industry is reacting to such requests.   The panel participants will be Fabien Liegeois (CMS, Geneva), Jonathan Addo (Harneys, BVI) and Laila Arstall (Carey Olsen, Guernsey).  Justine Markovitz (Withers, Geneva) will moderate the discussion.
