Expand your choices and make better decisions. Are you ready to explore and discover what you might not want to see about yourself as a leader? It might turn into your greatest gift for 2026.Saturday, 31 January 2026 – 09:00-14:00We are delighted to invite you to this interactive leadership seminar, exclusive for INSEAD alumni. The seminar will be led by Laurence Barrett and Ann Askenberger, who will guide us through an exploration of our inner world, where we can find both light and shadows – hidden gems that can make us better leaders.   “There is a crack in everything, and that is how the light come in” Leonard CohenThe concept of shadow is one of Jungs most interesting ideas, as it sheds light on the parts of us that we do not necessarily want to see. As such, it becomes an intuitive way to grow, personally, and professionally. Our shadow influences our emotions and behavior in virtually any and every setting at work, and this applies to individuals as well as the collective. In this interactive session, you will get a short introduction to the concept of shadow and of the method honey-ghost-trap®. Through interactive workshops, and while trying the method on yourself, you will explore how your shadow shows up in your leadership. You will leave with a simple language for what goes on inside you, and a first taste of how shadow work can support braver and more grounded leadership in organisations.   Laurence Barrett  Laurence Barrett is founder director of Heresy Consulting and has written and published extensively on Jungian psychology and its applications within modern coaching and consulting. He has worked for nearly four decades within international leadership and organizational development. He works as practicum supervisor and coach at INSEAD EMC program, and he is visiting faculty at the University of Cambridge and Henley Business School.   Ann Askenberger Ann Askenberger is the author of Your Shadow Is Your Strength. She is the creator of honey-ghost-trap®, a psychodynamic method that helps leaders transform shadow dynamics into strength. With more than 20 years of experience, she explores how unconscious patterns shape leadership, teams, and change. Her work is grounded in Jung’s shadow theory and research from INSEAD Business School.   Program 09:00 Welcome coffee & arrival09:30 Introduction09:45 The shadow in the organization, presentation, small group breakouts and debrief10:50 Break11:00 The Honey Ghost Trap, presentation, small group breakouts and debrief12:10 Large group reflections12:30 Lunch and table discussion: how do we integrate awareness and knowledge of the shadow in the daily leadership?13:30 Coffee and Q&A14:00 CloseLunch OptionsGrilled chicken supreme stuffed with Espelette pepper, “Mère-Royaume” sauce, baby grenaille potatoesorPerch fillet, white wine sauce, homemade shoestring friesorWild forest mushroom risotto, champagne mousseline  (Vegetarian)Dessert: TBDKey FactsWhen: 31 January 2026 09:00 – 14:00Where: La Mère Royaume, Place Simon-Goulart 4, 1201 GenevaTickets: CHF 95 NAA Members (paid-up) // CHF 140 Alumni non-members and guests Max 30 participantsTicketing closes 24h before the event.Registration:  INSEAD Alumni Association SwitzerlandVictor Svensson, EMCCC’16S, Event Organizer and Geneva Chapter Committee Member.Mayssa Scheib, MBA’14J, Geneva Chapter Presidentevents@insead.ch
