International Jazz Day - Konzerte

As part of the Ecolint Centenary celebrations you are invited to attend a unique event at La Châtaigneraie campus, with world-class musician Reuben James. The evening begins with drinks and refreshments offered by the PTA, and the concert starts at 19:30. Reuben James is an exceptional musician and his music crosses so many boundaries from Soul, RnB, Jazz and even classical music. A pianist and singer, one of the most charismatic performers working today. An absolute showman who integrates so many styles into his show. He will be playing for us with his wonderful trio. Reuben’s impressive list of collaborators includes arena-filling superstars such as Stormzy and Sam Smith, alongside jazz legends like Herbie Hancock, classical virtuoso Lang Lang, and popular artists like Marcus Mumford and Disclosure, to name just a few. His ability to work across genres and with such a diverse range of talent highlights his versatility and musical prowess. International Jazz Day, proclaimed by the UNESCO General Conference in 2011, is a global celebration of jazz music held annually. It aims to raise awareness on the role of jazz as an educational tool and as a force for creativity, dialogue and intercultural exchange. We propose an annual day of Jazz at Campus de La Châtaigneraie involving world class musicians and incorporating performances by students and professionals. Photo by Jamie Noise
