Quantum Computing and AI - Conférences

Quantum Computing and AI – Inspiring Case Studies from QuantumBasel, with guided tour of uptownBaselTuesday 5 March, 2024Join us in person or online to discover the brave new world of quantum computing, the key to faster, more energy-efficient computing to power the AI applications of the future!Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the hottest business topics currently, generating huge public interest and investments. Growth in computing power has made breakthrough solutions possible, yet challenges remain, including the ability to run generative AI models in an energy-efficient manner. After touring the uptownBasel facilities, we will be joined by Dr. Frederik Flöther, Lead Quantum & Deputy CEO of QuantumBasel, for a presentation followed by a roundtable discussion with Dr. Chiara Decaroli, Quantum Fund Investment Manager for Redstone and Dr. Björn Klocke, MBA’01J, Head of the Institute of Business Engineering at FHNW. The event will conclude with networking drinks.About quantum computingQuantum computing has the potential to disrupt many industries by solving complex problems exponentially faster than classical computers. This cutting-edge technology utilizes the principles of quantum mechanics to perform computations by using quantum bits (qubits) as the fundamental units of data. While the bits used by classical computers can represent a linear combination of either 0 or 1, qubits can represent 0 or 1 at the same time. That enables faster processing of data and makes quantum computing especially suited to problems that involve large numbers of variables and potential outcomes.
