MAPPING FESTIVAL

Workshop "Demystifying the Æther" by Félicien Goguey (CH) and Matthias Hurtl (AT) - Workshop e stage

An exceptional 4-day workshop on reality capture using Unity software, organized in collaboration with HEAD Geneva. 3D modeling from photos has just reached a milestone. No more need for rails or a horde of ultra-precise cameras, just a simple photogrammetry software. Artists of the digital era can now appropriate these tools, used in architecture or video games to create or recreate realistic environments. During this 4-day workshop, we will capture real elements and learn how to visualize them via the Unity video game engine. Using virtual cameras, shaders and other software tools, participants will be able to create their own universe and walk around in it.   Raphaël Munoz co-founded the digital creation studio Aprobado Sàrl in 2012 after graduating from HEAD - Geneva in Visual Communication and then in Media Design. Developer and interaction designer, he participates in the creation of interactive works, installations, plays and video games. He uses computer code as a tool of expression. In the experiences he creates, he uses technology and design to facilitate the link between the audience and the message of the work.
