Dreamscapes - immersive short films - Cinema

"Dreamscapes" is a series of short films lasting around 30 minutes, exploring different artistic territories, unifying concepts such as the boundary between human and non-human, architecture on a human scale, and the visual exploration of microscopic and macroscopic worlds. These captivating films reveal a shared fascination with the limits of human perception, offering an immersive experience that defies convention and invites viewers to rethink their relationship with the world around them.   > "Unknonw Territory" by Floating Point Studio (CH) plunges the audience into what appears to be a form of fog; they find themselves slowly surrounded by immense massifs that are hard to make out, so high that we can only make out their base, or rather their silhouettes melted into the mist.   > "Hyperspectral", by artist Kevin Blackistone (USA) is an assemblage of different generative visual designs, inspired by research into extrasolar planets. The forms presented speculate on the limited data available to researchers in this field, initially considered through four specific kinds of exoplanets. > "in s.asmbli", created by renowned Japanese artist Ryoichi Kurokawa, is a project that explores the relationship between nature and the human realm through an architectural-scale perspective. This translates into different presentation formats such as a concert piece, multi-screen installations, prints, virtual reality and a projection version. The main source of data for this project is 3D data collected by laser scanning of human structures.
