Giorgio Poi + L'Osmose - Concerts

Singer-songwriter Giorgio Poi could very well embody Italian pop in all its glory, steeped in delicately old-fashioned romance. Irresistibly, he sweeps us along in his wake with a swirl of elegant, finely crafted melodies and silky arrangements, delicately punctuated with strings. There’s a warm sense of nostalgia that comes with listening to Giorgio Poi’s tracks, a gentle echo of the past that somehow carries us towards brighter days. His music thrives on a beautiful ambiguity: it is luminous yet melancholic, often flirting with the slightly kitschy aesthetic of the 1980s, while remaining firmly rooted in the present. A perfect soundtrack for late summer, not to be missed at Usine à Gaz in Nyon. Opening the evening is an invitation to bold electronic and live experimentation with Swiss/Mexican drummer Giacomo Bastianelli and his latest project, Tam Bor. Rhythm is the beating heart of Tam Bor’s sound, a dynamic base upon which analogue textures and electronic melodies collide. With influences ranging from hip hop to electronic obsession and a clear love for the raw energy of alternative rock bands, Bastianelli creates with Tam Bor a sound that defies easy classification.   Hosted and co-produced with the Usine à Gaz and with the support of the Canton of Vaud   Sound levels can reach 100dB / Ear plugs available + 16 years old or accompanied by an adult
