The deadly sins have fuelled the imagination of artists down the centuries. A little theatre of the great human emotions, this programme leads us to reflect deeply on the nature of emotions and suggests that Claudio Monteverdi, who became a priest at the end of his life, was perhaps one of the only artists to have understood the origin of human passions and to have sublimated them in music.
