Between Berlin and Rio; Casa no Mundo weaves a sensitive and vibrant connection to Brazilian music. The trio brings together Danielle Friedman (piano); Sophia Bicking (vocals); and Mariana Zwarg (flute); three musicians united by a shared passion for the richness of MPB and Brazilian jazz. From Antônio Carlos Jobim to Caetano Veloso; via Chico Buarque and Gal Costa; their repertoire revisits the great voices of Brazil with finesse; balancing softness; depth; and elegance. Originally from Rio and shaped by the universe of the legendary Hermeto Pascoal; Mariana Zwarg brings an organic and luminous dimension to the trio; opening space for music that is alive; free; and deeply expressive.
