Description
Actress Pauline Epiney and singer-songwriter Aurélie Emery bring to life the text "Le feu et les oiseaux" ("Fire and the Birds"), by Céline Cerny and Line Marquis. Céline Cerny and Line Marquis have co-written a book, a collection of incantations and images. In response to this hazy threat, fed by thousands of images and figures, by projections of collapse in our political, economic and social systems whose shape and timing remain unknown, they seek to counter this staged dystopia with a resilient imagination. In a series of fragments addressed to a loved one, the narrator weaves together reflections on our connection to the animal kingdom and our most distant past, on the hope of a fluidity of gender, and on the place of imagination and the power of stories in our lives. A musical reading led by Pauline Epiney and Aurélie Emery, revealing the power and beauty of the text through their enchanting first collaboration.
