La Cena Mexicana is back for its 4th edition! ⌛ Date: Saturday, 3 October 2026 ⛪ Venue: Grande Salle communale de Nyon ⌚ Welcome and aperitif: from 5.00 pm ♨ Dinner: from 7.30 pm ❤️ All proceeds will be donated to Tikosó to support its work with indigenous communities in the Montaña de Guerrero, Mexico. ⭐ Book your tickets now! Given last year’s success and the limited number of places, it's best to book without delay. Every autumn, the Cena Mexicana has become an event we look forward to every year. For some, it’s the joy of seeing familiar faces again; for others, it’s an opportunity to discover Mexico in a different way. For everyone, it’s an evening to take the time to get together, share a good meal, and support a project close to our hearts. Whether you’ve been with us since the very first edition or are experiencing the Cena Mexicana for the first time, we’ll be delighted to welcome you on Saturday, 3 October 2026, at Grande Salle communale in Nyon for the 4th edition of the Cena Mexicana. An evening filled with togetherness and the flavours of Mexico We’ll welcome you from 5 pm for a convivial aperitif. This will be an opportunity to chat and find out about the projects Tikosó carries out in the Montaña de Guerrero. Dinner will be served from 7.30 pm. Those who wish to do so may also join us directly for dinner. As always, the aim will be to explore Mexican cuisine. Chef Gerardo Avena Sanchez will once again be travelling from Mexico to share with us a cuisine that is generous, authentic and full of surprises. Lovers of spicy flavors will find our selection of homemade hot sauces, while those with more sensitive palates can fully enjoy the flavors of Mexico… without the chili! Children will also be part of the fun with our traditional piñatas and various activities designed for the little ones. And adults can extend the experience and continue their conversations at the bar, which will offer a variety of Mexican specialties. Our beloved Mexican craft stall will also be there. You’ll be able to discover creations made by local craftspeople with whom we work directly. Coffee from small-scale women producers, jams made from exotic fruits, masks and colourful textiles will all be on offer. Every purchase you make will help support their work as well as our association’s activities. An evening of solidarity in support of Tikosó Beyond the pleasure of sharing a good meal, the Cena Mexicana is above all a moment of solidarity with Tikosó, a project deeply rooted in the Montaña de Guerrero. Our association has been supporting this initiative for seven years now. And thanks to your support, Tikosó has been able to grow over the years. This has enabled it to reach new communities and support more families. Its work on the ground now centres on two complementary initiatives: The Cultural and Educational Centre, which promotes community autonomy through culture, food, education and the passing on of indigenous knowledge. The ‘Marcelina Ramírez’ Medical Support Centre (CAM), which supports families facing complex medical situations and helps them overcome the geographical, linguistic, administrative and social barriers that limit their access to healthcare. In this mountainous region, where some communities live several hours away from the nearest healthcare services, your support makes all the difference. By taking part in this evening, you’ll be making a direct contribution to strengthening practical, compassionate support that’s tailored to the realities on the ground. All proceeds from the Cena Mexicana will be donated to Tikosó. See you on 3 October as we continue to build this collective adventure!
