Dear son, - Dance

The Centre des arts is honoured to host the première of “Dear son," the new creation by Riva & Repele with Parvaneh Scharafali. This dance creation represents an artistic experience that invites the audience to reflect on the fragility of life. In a contemporary society marked by the persistence of war and its consequences, this show is about creating a space for reflection in which love and memory transcend death. The dancers' intention is to create a piece that transcends words to communicate the complexity of emotions linked to this universal experience. They aim to illustrate the unconditional love between parent and child. In terms of pedagogy, the show helps raise awareness on the realities of war amongst current and future generations. It is a way of addressing current realities, promoting peace by giving a voice to victims and witnesses, and above all contributing to the evolution of society towards a more peaceful world.
