La Cité Bleue
La Cité Bleue Genève
In a daring dyptic, the Geneva-born choreographer brings together a masterpiece by Beethoven and an original creation by young composer Maxime Mantovani, whose musical reinterpretation of Opus 131 is achieved through the kaleidoscope of its movement. Nina Vallon's writing weaves intimate links with the music and it is an organic dance, very physically involved. And as these dancing, moving bodies move and meet, the dance and music begin to tell us stories of their own, stories that lie beyond the intelligible. Stories that touch us, sometimes without us really knowing why. DISTRIBUTION Nina Vallon, choreography Maxime Mantovani, composition and sound design Sabine Charreire, lighting Apolline Kirklar, first violin Rachel Koblyakov, second violin Julie Michael, viola Alice Picaud, cello As Soon As Possible Company This production is a winner of the dance-music call for projects launched by La Cité Bleue Genève and the Pavillon Noir CCN d'Aix-en-Provence as part of the 2024-2026 seasons.
