With music straddling the line between house and jazz, Léon Phal is one of the musical revelations of the new French scene. Trained at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, the saxophonist is part of a generation unafraid to reclaim jazz codes to redefine them in innovative and unapologetic compositions. Released in the fall of 2023, his album Stress Killer acts as a decompression chamber of sound. Venturing into the realm of electronic sounds, from techno to deep house, his tracks balance melody, raving groove and sustained rhythm. Amplified live, the powerful sound of the quintet will undoubtedly lead the entire hall into a state of shared exhilaration.
