Larry and Vernon Gurruwiwi are internationally renowned custodians of the Yidaki as handed down to them by the late great Djalu Gurruwiwi. Continuing Djalu's legacy, they are travelling from their remote community in North East Arnhem Land, Australia, to the lofty heights of Fondation Opale in the Swiss Alps. Sharing Yolngu wisdom about the origins of the Yidaki and their sacred songlines, the men will teach workshp participants how to play the instrument with integrity in an authentic Yolngu cultural context.
