New director of Geneva Grand Theatre ballet Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui's «Loin» f explores the distance between beings, periods and cultures and has already delighted thousands of spectators around the world. Sasha Waltz's «In C», based on the music of Terry Riley, is profoundly democratic, fluid and colourful and composed of 53 sequences of movements that dancers capture for a variable and lively composition.Marcos Morau, a rising star in the European theatre world, places the dancers in an impressive atmosphere, the perfect setting for his beautifully designed choreographies and inventive language of movement. "Cathedral" inspired by the music of world-famous composer Arvo Pärt, asks us to reflect on the nature of existence and the mystery of man amid the grandeur of nature and the infinite universe.
