Registration for IWIB Swiss Mentoring Program 2025Deadline: Friday, 10 January 2025 You are invited to participate in the 8th edition of the IWIB Swiss Mentoring Program. This national program is limited to 20 mentees. INSEAD Women in Business (IWIB) in SwitzerlandIWIB’s mission is to advance the agenda of closing the gender parity gap in business in Switzerland, focusing on the School’s key areas of impact: leading business education and a strong alumni network. IWIB is not reserved for women – all genders are welcome. In Switzerland, significant gaps remain in terms of women’s economic opportunity and political empowerment. As the leading business school for the world, INSEAD can play the following roles: Provide tools for all alumni to become more inclusive leaders, by raising awareness of gender bias in business, by promoting the latest academic research, and by sharing the experiences of companies that have achieved success in gender parity. Support the professional development of INSEAD alumna in Switzerland through our alumni network. Introduce our alumni to local role models of gender parity and female leadership across multiple industries. Support the School’s efforts to achieve gender parity in enrolment. Create a spirit of fun, support, and inspiration around IWIB club activities. What is the IWIB Swiss Mentoring Program? The 8th edition of the IWIB Swiss Mentoring Program will run from January 2025 to March 2026. INSEAD alumni who wish to participate as a mentee, mentor, or both are invited to apply by Friday 10 January 2025.Applicants are proposed one to three potential matches by January 31 and have until February 28 to communicate with potential mentors/mentees and give us feedback to allow us to pair each mentee with a mentor. The final pairs will be announced in early March 2025, after which mentoring sessions will begin. IWIB provides mentors and mentees with a toolkit and training session to facilitate the sessions and support the program. Mentees pay a CHF 140 registration fee as a contribution to the administrative costs of the IWIB Swiss Mentoring Program (using the Infomaniak link at the bottom of this email). The registration fee is refunded if we are unable to pair you with a mentor. What is mentoring?Mentoring is a voluntary learning relationship between two individuals, the mentor and the mentee. Mentors provide informal guidance by sharing their experience, knowledge, and expertise, with the objective of helping mentees reflect on their current role, explore their potential, define their career goals, and foster their personal and professional development. Who can participate in the IWIB Swiss Mentoring Program? The IWIB Swiss Mentoring Program is open to all genders and ages. Mentees are not restricted to new graduates: they can also be experienced professionals contemplating a significant career transition. We strongly encourage INSEAD female graduates to become mentees and mentors. We also encourage reverse mentoring, in which junior alumni mentor senior alumni, sharing their expertise and knowledge of topics that are relevant to their generation. As a mentee, it is essential that you clearly define your goal and expectations for the program. Bear in mind that mentoring is not a channel for finding a new job, but rather for accessing the tools you need to take the next step in your career. The Program is also open to previous applicants or participants who wish to work on a new goal or contribute in the role of mentor after being a mentee.
