Disabled or sales by telephone, please use the Ville de Genève ticket online sales Encontro Louis Matute invites Joyce Moreno Passionate about Brazilian music and its historical relationship with the guitar, Louis invited the great Brazilian guitarist, composer and singer Joyce Moreno, for a collaboration and a unique concert at the Alhambra in Geneva : a special encounter by MusiKa. Joyce Moreno 4-time Grammy Award nominee JOYCE MORENO, legendary guitarist, composer and singer, is one of the founding pillars of Brazilian popular music (MPB). Active since 1968, JOYCE MORENO has composed more than 400 songs performed by the biggest names in Brazilian popular music: from Elis Regina and Gal Costa to Milton Nascimento, Sergio Mendes and countless others. Beyond Brazil, Joyce's work has been recorded by Annie Lennox, Wallace Roney, Omara Portuondo, Black Eyed Peas, David Sanchez, Flora Purim among others. To date, she has released 39 personal CDs and two DVDs, in addition to numerous compilations and participations. In 2015, her musical work was honored at Berklee College of Music. Since the beginning of her career, Joyce’s registered trademark has been the first-person feminine voice, which she pioneered; she was the first Brazilian female songwriter to express herself in this form, opening the way for countless other artists who followed.  Louis Matute  LOUIS MATUTE, recently awarded the 2022 "Evidence" prize by the Jazz Academy, is recognized as one of the most interesting Swiss jazz guitarists of the moment. He is now one of the artists of the Montreux Jazz Foundation and is an Associate Artist at L’Abri. He is the winner of the Cully Jazz Festival prize, the Jazz Contrebande competition and the ZKB Audience Jazz Award in Zürich. He performs on prestigious stages: Cully Jazz, Salle Pleyel, Jazz Onze+, Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazz à Vienne... The Residency at EMA Joyce Moreno and Louis Matute will work on their program during a residency at the new l’EMA (ex-ETM), on oct. 12, 13 and 14. Louis started writing some new pieces for this meeting. Joyce is in the process of choosing the repertoire that she will present with Louis and the Large Ensemble. During these three days, the artists will also define the structure of the evening's program. The studio will also be accessible to journalists for interviews and reports. A Chat at Espace_L On October 13 from 7 p.m., Louis and Joyce will meet you at the Espace_L d'art contemporain, in the Bains district, for an informal and relaxed "bate-papo" around music, creativity, meetings, projects, life... Letíca Maciel, owner of Galerie_L, warmly welcomes us for a drink.
