Description
ADAYAAtmospheric and deeply rooted in folk tradition, Adaya & Ursula Suchanek create music that explores the emotional landscapes of memory, nature, and human experience. With Adaya’s expressive vocals, banjo, and guitar, combined with Ursula’s distinctive five-string fiddle (quinton) and harmonies, the duo brings a rich and intimate sound to the stage. Their repertoire blends newly arranged traditional folk songs with original compositions inspired by old musical forms and poetic storytelling. Drawing influence from artists such as Martin Simpson, Karen Dalton, Townes Van Zandt, Steeleye Span, and Fairport Convention, their music carries echoes of the past while remaining unmistakably contemporary. Dark, atmospheric, and timeless, their songs invite listeners into a world of delicate melodies, haunting arrangements, and deeply personal narratives. The duo’s work resists easy categorisation, moving between folk, experimental arrangements, and thoughtful songwriting. Following their dedicated album Love to Wander, Adaya & Ursula Suchanek bring their evocative sound on tour, offering audiences a captivating journey through tradition, imagination, and original folk expression.IN GOWAN RING In Gowan Ring creates a singular musical world where ancient folk traditions, symbolist poetry, and imagined landscapes converge. Led by B’ee (B’eirth), musician, composer, and instrument maker, the project explores a visionary form of folk music in which the human voice, acoustic instruments, and mysterious harmonies weave timeless narratives. Drawing inspiration from ancient European traditions, In Gowan Ring’s music blends elements of psychedelic folk, medieval music, troubadour songs, and experimental arrangements. Guitars, harps, psalteries, flutes, stringed instruments, and handcrafted sounds shape a sonic landscape where myths, nature, and spirituality intertwine. Since the 1990s, In Gowan Ring has developed a deeply personal body of work, guided by a musical and poetic exploration of symbolic worlds, ancient legends, and the invisible connections between humanity and the living world. With more than a dozen albums and performances across the globe, the project has established itself as a unique voice within the realms of experimental and timeless folk music. On stage, In Gowan Ring offers an immersive experience — somewhere between a medieval ballad, a waking dream, and an inner journey: music that seems to emerge from another age while remaining profoundly alive and present.
