With Adaya’s expressive vocals, banjo, and guitar, combined with Ursula’s distinctive five-string fiddle (quinton) and harmonies, the duo brings a rich and intimate sound to the stage. Drawing influence from artists such as Martin Simpson, Karen Dalton, Townes Van Zandt, Steeleye Span, and Fairport Convention, their music carries echoes of the past while remaining unmistakably contemporary. Since the 1990s, In Gowan Ring has developed a deeply personal body of work, guided by a musical and poetic exploration of symbolic worlds, ancient legends, and the invisible connections between humanity and the living world.
