Our voyage of (re)discovery launches with a programme that spans six decades of Frank Martin’s life and career. It is a journey driven not by chronology, but by creative impetus, as we move from Ode de la musique to Tête de Linotte, a childhood composition, before seeking hope in the wake of war with the oratorio, In terra pax. Henri Dutilleux’s Tout un monde lointain… rounds out the programme. This concert marks the debut of the Frank Martin orchestra, conducted by Thierry Fischer.
