The first piece, in the form of a small opera, places drama at the centre of the music. The second work, by contrast, is pure virtuosity. Finally, the emblematic Sonnerie de Sainte Geneviève du Mont repeats the tones of three bells to the point of hypnosis. Yoko Kawakubo, Myriam Rignol and Julien Wolfs reign in splendour over this music, casting the final glow of the Grand Siècle.
