Meatbodies + Snapped Ankles + Ogoun Ferraille - Concerts

Prepare for a blast of raw energy at the PTR venue of L’Usine, as Californian psychedelic prog-rockers Meatbodies and the post-punk force that is Snapped Ankles, take to the stage. Emerging from the trees in full camouflage, the enigmatic members of Snapped Ankles don’t just perform, they unleash a relentless, electro-hypnotic rock assault. Their shows race at full throttle from the first beat, pulling audiences into a wild trance and urging them to dance out their frustrations in a furious, cathartic release. Expect noise, fury, high-octane intensity and soaring sonic surges, all fused with a dash of performance art and a healthy dose of art-rock chaos. Snapped Ankles aren’t just a band, they’re a ritual. In 2024, Meatbodies marked their triumphant return with Flora Ocean Tiger Bloom, an album born from five turbulent years, not just for the band, but especially for frontman Chad Ubovich, who endured depression, addiction, COVID, hospitalisation and even the loss of his home. It’s taken half a decade, but the result is their most ambitious and eclectic work yet. While rooted in garage rock, the album draws boldly from unexpected influences, hints of Britpop à la Pulp, the harmonic madness of Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd and even touches of Cosmic Country. Somehow, Meatbodies weave all this into a cohesive, deeply textured sound, delivered with trademark intensity and originality, underpinned by razor-sharp songwriting. An obsessive collector of wild and unusual records, the versatile and curious Ogoun Ferraille handles LPs from both hemispheres with brio, as long as they're full of psychedelia and injected with fuzz. For the occasion, he's prepared a garage and proto-hard-rock set featuring the best of the MC5, Pentagram and other obscure and devastating bands!   Hosted and co-produced with PTR + 16 years old or accompanied by an adult
