Description
ENSEMBLE CÉLADON Paulin BÜNDGEN countertenor Caroline HUYNH VAN XUAN harpsichordist and clavichordist Songs by Guillaume DUFAY (1397–1474), Gilles BINCHOIS (c. 1400–1460), Josquin DES PRÉS (c. 1450–1521), Claudin DE SERMISY (c. 1490–1562), Clément JANEQUIN (c. 1485–1558), John DOWLAND (1563–1626), Thomas CAMPION (1567–1620), and others. Hits of one day, hits forever: in this programme, Ensemble Céladon sweeps through the European hits of the 16th century! On stage: the clavicytherium (a curious instrument, a kind of small vertical harpsichord), its unflappable keyboardist and a brilliant, eccentric countertenor! With the help of a twelve-sided die and delightful anecdotes, the two musicians will make the audience play and travel the time of a concert in which humour and good spirits reign supreme!
