14th SCCL Faculty & Staff Retreat - Conferences

The 14th Faculty & Staff retreat of the SCCL will be an on-site only event and will take place at the Campus BioTech, in Geneva on November 24 & 25, 2025. Registration to the retreat is limited to people from the institutions represented in the SCCL and a few external people invited by the organising committee (i.e., academic partners, foundations, sponsors). The presentations, posters and discussions during the retreat will only be available to people who have registered and should not be posted on social media. We would like to emphasize that considering the increasing size of the SCCL retreat audience: confidentiality cannot be ensured by the organisation and those submitting abstracts shall take this into account. abstracts will be selected by the organizing committee. A submission does not imply on automatic selection. to best represent to diversity of research topics in the SCCL, at most one abstract per group can be submitted for a short talk and the selected abstract should be approved by the PI. The other abstracts will be presented as posters. we aim at more diversity in session chairs and encourage PhD and post-doc interested in chairing a session to mention it in the registration form. This year’s retreat will feature as keynote speakers: Dirk Busch, Director of the Institute of Medical Microbiology, Immunology and Hygiene at TUM - Technische Universität München, Germany and David Weinstock, Head of the Oncology Disease Translational Area (DTA) in Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED) in Basel, Switzerland. We will also have a social event on the evening of the first day - more info coming soon.The registration fee is CHF 100.- and it must be done via this ticketing service.Standard registration closes on November 15, 2025.Please submit your abstract for short talks and posters through this link by October 31, 2025.Training credits for continuum education in animal experimentation will be confirmed soon.
