Kyle Eastwood – "Eastwood by Eastwood" feat. Eric Legnini / BAD - Blaser Auberson Ducret - Festivals

Immersed in the world of cinema, Kyle Eastwood chose to embark on the path of music by learning the double bass. Since then, he has asserted himself as a group leader with over a dozen albums to his name. In his new project, the double bassist and bassist pays tribute to his father, Clint Eastwood, combining his love for traditional jazz and the seventh art, filmmaking. "Eastwood by Eastwood" brings together the musician and his quintet, accompanied for this concert at the Chapiteau by pianist Eric Legnini. From the powerful "Gran Torino" to the vibrant "The Bridges of Madison County," not to mention the legendary "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly," the musicians will interpret compositions from the musical repertoire of the director's famous works. Samuel Blaser, European Musician of 2018, Pascal Auberson, winner of the Swiss Music Prize in 2017, and Marc Ducret, the victor of the National Jazz Competition of La Défense in 1986, will grace the stage of the Chapiteau with a creation jointly commissioned by RTS-Radio Télévision Suisse and the Festival. These three musicians with exceptional careers will combine their talents to present unpublished compositions in an unprecedented encounter. While the trombonist and guitarist have already collaborated brilliantly in the past, the invitation of the multi-instrumentalist Pascal Auberson, a showman of great generosity, hints at the prospect of deeply moving emotions.
