Description
The vibrant spirit of the New York jazz scene returns for its second edition on the picturesque shores of Lake Geneva with the Rolle Jazz Fest. Set in the enchanting surroundings of Château de Rolle, this four-day event will feature some of the world’s greatest jazz musicians, offering an intimate experience where the audience surrounds the artists. 4pm AktAndo Lake view stage Founded by Jerome Gloppe, this band was born from a collaboration between musicians from Colombia and Switzerland. With three albums and several international tours to its name, this multicultural jazz band blends jazz with Latin music to create an innovative musical proposition. 6pm Moncef Genoud & Seamus Blake Salle du Conseil The duo of pianist Moncef Genoud and saxophonist Seamus Blake brings together two leading voices of contemporary jazz in a musical dialogue of rare intensity. Moncef Genoud’s deeply personal style meets the powerful and expressive tenor sound of Seamus Blake, one of the most respected saxophonists of his generation. Together, they create an intimate, bold, and deeply compelling concert experience. 9pm Hilary Kole and Misha Piatigorsky Salle du Conseil A standout vocalist on the New York jazz scene, Hilary Kole has made her mark with her elegant voice and mastery of the Great American Songbook, performing with artists such as Oscar Castro-Neves, Fred Hersch, and John Pizzarelli. She will be accompanied by an exceptional quintet led by pianist and arranger Misha Piatigorsky, renowned for his innovative projects at the intersection of jazz and orchestral music. Joining them, flutist Itay Kriss, trumpeter Tatum Greenblatt, and drummer Rudy Royston form a rhythm and melodic section of great sophistication. Together, these internationally acclaimed artists promise a refined and vibrant concert, blending jazz tradition with contemporary sensibilities. Festivities begin earlier with a master class, performances by talented local artists, food and drinks, creating the perfect atmosphere to soak up the jazz vibe before the main concerts. Arrive early to enjoy the full experience, or extend your evening with the Jam session. Free entry (no ticket required) for master classes, lake view stage concerts, and jam sessions.
