A creation marking the 30th anniversary of Forum de Meyrin   The guests have arrived, the chairs are set, the flowers perhaps already arranged. We’re just waiting for the happy couple. They’re running a little late. It happens. In the meantime, the registrar begins to speak. Memories surface. Images. Couples – those she has married, those she has never forgotten. Her words fill the space with stories and the thoughts they provoke. We sense lives unfolding, promises made, silences held. Based on interviews with Evelyne Cottier, registrar for the city of Meyrin, Denis Maillefer has written a documentary-style piece about love, marriage, celebration and all the things we don’t always say. A gently meandering monologue, it takes its time, loops back, wanders and is carried by the lives of others.   A 2025 creation, co-produced by La Bâtie-Festival de Genève and the Service de la culture de Meyrin   Length 60 minutes (durée estimée) French + 14 years old
