Traviata : vous méritez un avenir meilleur - Theatre and performing arts

This is not La traviata. At least not the one you know. For two heartbreakingly beautiful hours, the audience is invited into the intimacy of Violetta, among the guests at an unusual musical feast that combines the immortal music of Verdi, Alexandre Dumas fils's La Dame aux Camélias, and the spleen-like Paris of Charles Baudelaire and Théophile Gautier. In this microcosm, where the actors take turns as singers, poets and musicians, Verdi's luxuriant ardour is reduced to its very essence, a visceral pulse on which the multiple facets of this woman who died too soon are played out: Alphonsine Duplessis, known as Marie Duplessis, or Violetta Valéry. A breathtaking show.   DISTRIBUTION Benjamin Lazar, Florent Hubert & Judith Chemla, conception Benjamin Lazar, stage direction Florent Hubert & Paul Escobar, arrangements and musical direction With Florent Baffi, Damien Bigourdan, Jérôme Billy, Renaud Charles, Elise Chauvin, Judith Chemla, Axelle Ciofolo, Myrtille Hetzel, Bruno Le Bris, Gabriel Levasseur, Sébastien Llado, Benjamin Locher & Marie Salvat
