For girls aged between 10 and 18 Visit at the Astronomical Observatory in Versoix - With Expanding Your Horizons Wednesday 27 May 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Explore the Universe at the Versoix Observatory We’ll start with a 3D virtual journey from Earth to the farthest reaches of the Universe! Then, tour the observatory, including: the dome with its educational telescope + the control room for the Euler telescope in Chile the mechanical workshop where future instruments are built the clean room where instruments are assembled the gallery of historical instruments We’ll finish with a friendly snack and a chat with women astronomers, giving you the chance to ask questions and learn about their career paths. IMPORTANT: --> MEETING TIME: 1:45 PM --> MEETING POINT: Observatoire de Sauverny (Versoix)Chemin Pegasi 51 - 1290 Versoix Meeting point map Observatory website Depending on availability, some parents may be allowed to accompany the girls. This decision will be made on site. This activity is organised by Elargis tes Horizons (ETH). As a not-for-profit association, we are dedicated to providing girls with experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Around 10 times a year, we offer scientific activities or visits in the Geneva region. They are usually held on Wednesday afternoons and are open to girls aged between 10 and 18.
