Description
Larry and Vernon Gurruwiwi are internationally renowned custodians of the Yidaki as handed down to them by the late great Djalu Gurruwiwi. Continuing Djalu's legacy, they are travelling from their remote community in North East Arnhem Land, Australia, to the lofty heights of Fondation Opale in the Swiss Alps. Sharing Yolngu wisdom about the origins of the Yidaki and their sacred songlines, the men will teach workshp participants how to play the instrument with integrity in an authentic Yolngu cultural context. Larry and Vernon are ccompanied by filmmaker Ben Strunin who will share important footage of Larry and Vernons story so the audience can understand where this crucial Indigenous story eminates from.Dont miss this incredible opportunity to learn from the true masters of the Didjeridoo.
