Description
The Bester Quartet boldly blends jazz, klezmer, contemporary classical, and avant-garde music. Emerging from the evolution of the legendary Cracow Klezmer Band, founded in Kraków in 1997 by Jarosław Bester, the quartet now features Jarosław Bester on accordion, Maciej Adamczak on double bass, Dawid Lubowicz on violin, and Ryszard Pałka on drums. The ensemble has developed a unique musical language in which improvisation serves as the starting point for free-form and unexpected musical structures. After performing around the world and collaborating with artists such as John Zorn, Tomasz Stańko, Don Byron, and Frank London, the Bester Quartet continues to pursue a virtuosic, inventive, and deeply expressive artistic approach.
