Description

Dedicated to Simona Kossak, a pioneering figure in ecofeminism, this one-woman play paints a portrait of a complex woman, far from any idealized image: strong yet lost, uncompromising yet sensitive, deeply courageous, who chose a life of solitude and embraced it with strength. Based on Simona. A Story of the Extraordinary Life of Simona Kossak by Anna Kamińska. Produced by Big Book Festival & Cafe. Followed by a conversation between Simonetta Greggio, author of The Breath of the Forest: In the Footsteps of Simona Kossak (Arthaud, 2026), and Laura Pozzi, author of The Last Forest. The unforgettable beauty of the Białowieża Primeval Forest and the story of its guardian, Simona Kossak (Actes Sud, 2026), whose illustrations will be on display at the Berthet-Aittouarès Gallery. Hosted by Marie Sorbier, journalist, France Culture. Performance with French subtitles. A. Przepiórska dans Simona K. Crying in the Wilderness © M. Wróbel
